liquid mirror image

Meet us for breakfast at 9:45 Sunday morning before church to talk about what God’s doing in our lives. We’re currently working through Liquid: Mirror Image. A summary might read:

Mirror Image is based in some of the most famous biblical parables, such as the God Samaritan and the Prodigal Son. Mirror Image tells the story of people who face life’s events and learn to look at them from a different perspective in order to make a difference in this world.

dunkin donuts logoSo, stop by, check out their life story and decisions and how they can help us learn to make better decisions–and connect with some other young adults trying to make the right decisions in life. You can always check the schedule or call/text (302-632-0637) me to find out where we’re meeting. This week, we’ll be at the Dunkin Donuts on 13 in Camden by the Super Walmart. Punkin Chunkin

Published by YAvillage.com under Connect, Event

punkinchunkinAs I explained Punkin Chunkin to someone tonight, they asked the inevitable question: “Why?!?!?!” Of course, there are many reasons, such as:

1. Because we can!
2. Why not?
3. What else can you do with a pumpkin?
4. Apple-Scrapple is over and we need something to do in Sussex County
5. It’s a good excuse to sell funnel cakes

If you have no idea what we’re talking about, check out Punkin Chunkin. And, if you want to check it out in person, let me know. We’ll be meeting at our house at 9am and driving down. Email, Facebook or call (302-632-0637) for directions to our house or you can also meet us at down there.

loving God and loving others

Published by YAvillage.com under Uncategorized

which directionAccording to Jesus, loving God and loving others are the greatest commandments (Matthew 22:37-40). Getting involved in a small group is one of the best ways to follow those commandments. Small groups make it possible to build relationships while studying the Bible–helping each other to grow in our faith while building lasting friendships with others who can encourage us to live for Christ. There is no way for me to explain this fully. You just have to experience this for yourself.

Schedules can be hectic, making it difficult to get together. But, we can do groups at any time or place that might work for you–lunch time, between classes, at school, at Calvary, at Starbucks, etc. In order to create the groups we need, I need your help. Please take this short survey. It’s just eight questions. If you have any questions, as always, please email, Facebook or call (302-632-0637).
