There have been a few changes in the Gathering. After doing the previews and getting feedback from everyone, we’ve decided to do the Gathering once a month.

This will allow us to concentrate on some of the other aspects of the Gathering-small groups, service projects and trips. The consensus is that this will allow us to better live our values of experiencing God while we connect in community, grow in faith and serve others.

We’ll be announcing upcoming events through this email, texting, mySpace, Facebook and the website.

We know your faith is always at work, but make room in this month’s schedule to put your faith to physical work! As we do every other month, we will join forces with RC&D to help local families by restoring their way of life. So far we’ve built decks, ramps and replaced an entrance door; but the most rewarding part of all is that we leave the mark of Christ in their hearts. The Gathering is the new Saturday Night hangout!

It is a simple idea—Create a hot hang out on Saturday Nights with worship and a message for 20-somethings, THEN a 4 hour hang out!

The Gathering has 3 more Preview dates (February 16th & March 1st & 15th) before it launches in April, then in April it goes Live to EVERY SATURDAY. Come by and check it out as we experiment and it develops!

We also need help doing a lot of things so things work smoothly. Some things with which we need help:

1. Promotions (putting up posters & handing out cards–we’re going around Dover on Thursday and Friday)

2. Set-up: video games, board games, tables (books, food, etc.)

3. Tear down & clean up

4. Video & Photography

5. MySpace, Website, Email lists & Youtube

6. Leading events/service opportunities, Bible studies, etc.

The Gathering is a community of people sharing their lives and faith together
