Discipleship
Following Jesus is the core of what it means to be a disciple. To learn, grow and become like him are essential to our spiritual growth. Jesus spent three years in ministry–and much of that time was spent with his twelve disciples. These ordinary men eventually turned the world upside down. Although Jesus was intentional about growing his disciples, more often than not, discipleship today is haphazard.
There are many ways to get discipled–classes, small groups, one-on-one…While we encourage everyone to take advantage of these other options, we also invite you to begin the journey with a few friends. A discipleship group is starting on Thursdays at noon beginning on January 22. Each week, we will explore a core truth about Christianity. And although the group will only meet for about an hour, some Bible study and reading on your own will be required.
There will be a small cost to the class–$12 for the book. You can buy it from Amazon, somewhere else or from me. The book covers 25 weeks. If you begin the journey with us, I’m going to ask you to give it a try for 13 weeks. Then, you can decide if you want to continue.
